National Agency against Trafficking aims to coordinate, evaluate and monitor the implementation of policies at the national level in the field of human trafficking by public institutions, as well as the protection and assistance to victims. However, the Agency is the connection between victims of trafficking and the police and between them and the country’s NGOs providing services in this area. The agency collaborates with Romanian and foreign non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental organizations to raise public awareness about human trafficking and its consequences.
